We are so utterly excited that Return Chute: The survival of a small town video store has been selected for the prestigious Adelaide Film Festival 2023.

You can catch Return Chute with the amazing feature documentary SCALA!!! in the Shorts Before Features program.

SCALA!!! is directed by Jane Giles and Ali Catterall and is “The incredibly strange rise and fall of the world’s wildest cinema and how it influenced a mixed-up generation of weirdos and misfits”.

Return Chute and SCALA!!! seems like a screen match made in heaven, and we are honoured that the wonderful Adelaide Film Festival team have chosen our film.

The Festival program is terrific. Congratulations to all the filmmakers whose films have been officially selected.

Return Chute: The survival of a small town video store profiles Rod O’Hara, the current owner of Bellingen Video Connection and explores the people and reasons behind the iconic store’s endurance. The film celebrates the love of screen arts and the video store experience, connection, and the spirit of community.

Simone Atallah is the director and producer, Mick Jones is the cinematographer and editor, and Ryan Burrow is the sound mixer.
